American Legion Post No. 8

Meetings held the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at the Legion building (located at the corner of 1st South Street and Walnut Street).

Meetings held the 1st Monday of every month at the Legion building starting at 6:30pm.

Boy Scouts

Meetings held the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 5:00pm. Meeting locations vary. Anyone interested in joining the Boy Scouts is encouraged to contact Roger Gabrielse at (815) 343-8100.

Caring H.E.A.R.T.S.

Caring H.E.A.R.T.S. was formed in 2009 by local church women in conjunction with the Wenona Food Pantry. Wenona residents, 75 and older, who live in the 61377 zip code, may participate. If you are interested in having your name added to our list or would like to volunteer, please contact Phyllis Scheuer at (815) 853-4295.

Chamber of Commerce

The Wenona Chamber of Commerce consists of local businessmen and women, along with other civic-minded individuals, who volunteer to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Wenona. We are always looking for new opportunities to better our community and we welcome feedback from community members.

Chamber meetings are held at 6:30pm on the 4th Thursday of each month at the City Building. Check out Wenona Chamber on  Facebook page.

Girl Scouts – Brownie Troop #4757

Meetings are held every other Tuesday in the Fieldcrest Middle School & Elementary East cafeteria at 3:15pm. Membership is open to those in 2nd through 4th grades. Anyone interested in joining the Brownie Troop is encouraged to contact Shanna Berg at (217) 620-6611.

Girl Scouts – Daisy Troop #4101

Meetings are held the 2nd Friday of each month at Fieldcrest Middle School & Elementary East from 3:00pm-4:00pm. One meeting and one outing are held per month. Anyone interested in joining the Daisy Troop is encouraged to contact Dawn Monti at (815) 853-0041.

Wenona Highlighters 4-H

Meetings held 2nd Sunday of each month at 5:00pm at Bicentennial Hall. 4-H is for youth ages 8-18, but 5-7 year-olds can join as Cloverbuds. Anyone interested in joining Wenona’s 4-H Club is encouraged to contact Lisa Palm at (309) 463-2581.

WOW (Woman of Wenona)

Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at Bicentennial Hall,@ 7:00.

Wenona Literary Club

The purpose of the Club is to promote an interest in Literature, Art and Science. Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month, September-June, and are held at Bethany Lutheran Church, times vary. 

Wenona Rotary Club

The Wenona Rotary Club is a service organization that does projects for the good of the community and for the improvement of world conditions. We are open to anyone who would like to help. We meet at the Bicentennial Room on Mondays at 12:05 to have lunch and conduct meetings.

We have members that read to several classes at East, got a sound system for the city park, helped with the new concession stand at the ball diamond. We have different activities during Wenona Days and have foreign exchange students that are incoming to our community and a student that will be going to France this next school year.
